Brian M. Moore

Advisory Counsel, Certified Family Law Specialist

Brian Moore is a certified Family Law Specialist through the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. He is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and advisory counsel to the law firm of Feinberg & Waller, APC,. Mr. Moore practiced before all the courts in the State of California. Before serving as advisory counsel at Feinberg & Waller, Mr. Moore represented family law clients under the law office of Brian M. Moore. Known as a skilled, respected courtroom advocate, Mr. Moore is highly regarded in the family law community.

Education

Mr. Moore received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from California State University, Northridge, and earned his law degree from Loyola Law School. At the start of his career, Mr. Moore had experience with criminal and civil lawsuit work as an added value to his matrimonial specialty. Foundational work in his career includes his experiences as a volunteer Judge Pro Tem on numerous matters such as family law restraining orders and small claims appeals. His qualifications included completion of a 40-hour mediation training program and volunteer work through the Voluntary Attorney Settlement Team program that involved mediation and alleviating court congestion.

Experience

Mr. Moore’s extensive legal experience included hundreds of settlements of various family law issues, including custody, child support, spousal support, separate property disputes, and community property disputes. He drafted countless varieties of agreements, such as marital settlement agreements, custody agreements, support agreements, prenuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements. Clients appreciated Mr. Moore's diligence, well-composed advice, and ability to explain all options effectively. Additionally, his extensive experience in family law litigation enabled Mr. Moore to provide first-hand knowledge about the costs, benefits, and detriments of litigation, as well as the benefits of settlement.

Throughout his career, Mr. Moore strove to resolve issues by settlement, facilitating negotiations with opposing counsel with civil and open communications. Approaching each matter with the goal of assisting parties in formulating a fair settlement, Mr. Moore found the key is a commitment to resolution by settlement, coupled with reasonableness and a willingness to compromise on both sides.

Mr. Moore brought his life experience and passions to his practice of family law. He drew discipline from surfing and as a competitor in American Quarter Horse technical trail shows. His awareness and appreciation for the natural world as he challenged the powers of oceans and trails and taught him grace and versatility; distractions disappear as he becomes absorbed in the moment. Negotiating obstacles through these sports by using available directional energy and the flow of things, he used this concept to help clients negotiate through life experiences, including divorce. He brought the acquired qualities of maneuverability and contemplative solitude to his review of matters.

Mr. Moore aim was to always have written words communicate a clear, persuasive, and accurate representation of his clients' intentions and positions, whether preparing agreements reached in mediation or during litigation, constructing appellate briefs, or drafting other documents. He sought to facilitate effective communication between all parties in a comfortable and private environment. Mr. Moore took satisfaction in making clients feel that they had selected a superior legal service, where they received guidance and personal attention to their concerns and ultimate goals.
