How Do I Choose A Family Law Attorney?

Our lawyers have decades of experience working with these issues and have helped thousands of clients secure favorable outcomes.

How Is Child Custody Determined?

California law mandates that both parents have “frequent and continuing contact” with their children. Ideally, both parents will be willing to work together in the best interests of their children. If they cannot, a court will do it for them. There is a very long list of factors the court will use to make this determination.

Can Child Custody Be Modified?

Child custody orders may be modified in California either by both parents agreeing to the change or when you can show “change in circumstances.” This change must be substantial and in the best interests of the child. You may need the change because of the child’s needs due to school schedules, extracurricular activities or a parent’s change in job or partners.

Should I Get A Prenuptial Agreement?

While it may be challenging to raise this topic, it has the advantage of setting clear expectations for both partners and protecting property like a family business or other such separate property. Our attorneys can help you explore this topic and determine if such an agreement is necessary.
